Broody?

My year old BO has begun "hanging out" after she lays an egg. She's also begun to peck me when I remove the eggs from under her - she didn't use to do that. Once the eggs are removed she leaves in a huff and resumes normal chicken life. She's been less friendly in general lately, is it just her hormones?
I thought when they went broody they were more stubborn than that?

She's not broody yet, but she might be headed that direction if you leave some eggs in the nest.

Most likely a broody hen is on the way to your coop....They will set on one egg.....Good luck stopping it if that is your plan, BO's are serious brooders and hard to break!
