I wasn't looking for a Brother sewing machine in particular, but found these for sale.
Brother models XL-6562 AND CS-3000
I'm looking for reviews, pros - cons......anything you can tell me about either of these sewing machines.

Thanks a bunch!

I haven't had either of those. I have a simple brother from WalMart machine and a Brother Innovis 4000....But I love the Brother brand. It has been my favorite brand of sewing/embroidery machines.

I bought a Brother350. It's a smaller sewing/embroidery machine. I really love it because it is so easy to use. The only thing that might be a negative is that it is not as quiet as my previous Singer machines.

I'll warn you that I'm highly opinionated when it comes to sewing machines!!! The worst thing that ever happened to sewing machines was the introduction of cheap plastic parts in the internal workings of the motors - it dramatically cut down on their longevity and performance!

The only brand of sewing machine that continues to use all-metal interior parts is Necchi (the exterior is plastic - that's fine) - they come with a 25 YEAR warranty! That is the only brand I will buy.

Or get a pre-1976 Singer - still available at yard sales, Goodwill and sew and vac repair shops. They're a workhorse for life.

*stepping down from my soapbox, now* Good luck!

Thanks for your opinions. I'm going to pass on the Brother and keep saving for the Janome.
