I would recommend your plain old EE for the blue, as they get along well with others. (At least in my flock!)
I love my EE girls. One lays a pale blue, and the other a seafoam green.
I've had a mix of nearly everything you can find at
TSC and Atwoods. Sex linked (2), Sumatra (1), Cornish X (1), bantam Cochins (6), Easter Eggers (2), bantam Easter Eggers (2), D'uccle (1), D'anvers (1), Silkie (1), Old English Game birds (3), English Orpington (1), bantam Dark Brahma (2), Wyandotte (1), and a barred Rock (1). Aside from the normal pecking order scuffles, I've had no problems with fights.
I noticed that there was more angst when I added to my flock, but if you start with chicks, they'll figure out where they stand in the flock before they grow up. Sorta like puppies and grown dogs. A lot of what I've read indicates that if they have enough room, both in the coop and the run, it'll cut down on a lot of boredom and picking on one another.
None of mine have been people aggressive in the slightest. If they're not interested in being around me, they just run off.
