Brown Chinese Geese with Orange Color on Bill

A very late update to this thread: The folks we bought the goslings from contacted the fellow who they originally got their stock from and when asked about the color on the bills he said, "They just do that.".

I think I'm just gonna have to settle for that answer, it's probably the best I'm gonna get!

Hi! I just got our first two geese a few months ago. They were full grown when we got them but the person we got them from said they were about a year old. One has a partially yellow beak like yours so I’ve been worried the people we got them from lied about her age. It’s great to see our girl isn’t the only one with a premature yellow beak. I’ve been scouring the internet and not many people seem to obsess over birds like us .

There are quite a few breeds of domestic geese and color genetics. What breed did she tell you they were. Mixed breed anything can happen color breeding again allot can happen no of which has to do with age.
