Brown e g g chicken laying white e g gs?!?!? Need help please!

So my wife called me from home to tell me that our 7 brown e g g and 2 green egg hens had layed 10 e g g s and that most of them were white.

is it possible for a chicken to lay an opposite color e g g and what about two in one day?

Totally possible for both, actually. Sometimes the e g g-laying cycle will speed up a little, thus the two e g g s. And as for color change... these two beauties were laid on two consecutive days by our Welsummer, Ophelia. She has laid dark e ggs ever since.

Yup, definitely possible.

Sometimes it can have to do with a change in diet. What have you been feeding your chickens lately?

Yes, I've heard this before too, about the e g g color change. And sometimes when you have alot of chickens together, they will all do this at the same time. Has something to do with hormones I think.
