I ordered the brown egg layer assortment from Meyer Hatchery. They are 10 weeks old and are all supposed to be female. We got five total. Please let me know what breeds they are!

Chanice. . .

Roxanne. . .

Dorothea and DeeDee. . . They are the friendliest of the bunch.

And Cocoa. . .

Chanice is a barred rock girl!
Is Roxanne the red one in front? The red is a Red sex link/Red star. I'm not sure what meyer calls them!
Dorothea and Deedee are both Delawares!
And Cocoa is a dark cornish!
All 5 of them are girls, I think. The red, the cornish, and the barred rock are for sure, I'm fairly certain on the Delawares. That's a nice mix! All will lay brown eggs and lots of them, so you didn't get cheated! ;) I love the names!

Thanks for your help! I would have never guessed Cocoa was a dark cornish. It also a relief to know you think they are all "she".

i would like to add that redstars don't tend to do well freeranging unless they are in a big fenced in area.
unlike old time farm breeds they don't know to run to the coop when something with big teath shows up
they made redstars the way they are so they can be quickly caught on a mega farm, i guess time is money.

good luck
