Brown egg layer with white earlobes?

Well, they're not exactly ALL white, but they definitely not red through. It's almost like it has a white patch in the middle. I'm not sure, but I think we might have a couple girls like this. They are five months old, and I kept waiting for them to turn red and they didn't. ??? I may be able to get photos tomorrow. I think one of them is a BO. Have you ever seen this?
 
Earlobe color is not always an accurate indicator of egg color. BO's lay brown eggs and should have red earlobes.
 
Penedesencas are a breed that has white ear lobes but lays a very dark brown egg. So it isn't unheard of...
