I have two one year old black and brown hens - breed I don't remember. One has begun to lose it's comb and feather trun grey. The other is fine. Also have some RIR's and one looks like it also might be beginning to have this same problem. I have had chicken - 12 at the moment - for about 10 years and never have seen or hear about anything like this. I have attached pictures. I am worried about the health of the entire flock.
