Brown in eggs?? Pics

My hen starting laying eggs 3 weeks ago, which was 7 weeks after hatching her one chick. First 2 weeks every other day, 3rd week till now every day. Just went to cook breakfast and saw a dark spot I have never seen, threw that egg away. Cracked another on and one in it too. Is something wrong with her? Did not crack anymore.

Those looks like meat spots or blood spots. They are fairly common, especially in older birds. From The Poultry Site on them: "Most meat spots are pieces of tissue from body organs, but some may be partially broken-down blood spots. Blood spots are caused by blood vessels rupturing in the ovary or oviduct." and the links.

When my family had commercial layers the blood spotted eggs we candled out of the daily production were the ones my grand mother, mother, grand father, and myself ate for breakfast. We just lifted out the spot with the tip of a spoon and had scrambled eggs right on. I don't think there is any danger in eating these eggs because my grand mother lived to be 96, my mother lived to be 94, but my poor old grand dad only lived to be 93.

I don't worry about it. My wife wont eat them with spots in them tho. They taste just fine to me.I have no problem with it.
