Got some brown leghorns this spring and they are the most common egg layer I have ever had. The brown layers started laying a full month before the leghorns and are still laying without lighting but the brown leghorns have almost quit all together. I've had the white leghorns before and they always out performed everything. I guess the brown leghorns haven't had the same breeding program that has went into the whites. What's everybody else's view of the brown leghorns?
