Hi. I'm just seeing this thread. I'm just wondering if you'd ever considered just using a Brown/red D'Uccle for your project as opposed to introducing a different breed in the mix?

If the Japanese bantam wasn’t actually brown red, you won’t be able to make true-breeding brown reds with what you have.

Why do you think he’s not brown red?
