Seems like he’s really brown red. He should work well for your project.

Brown red Japanese bantams aren’t common. I thought he might be a mixed breed.

I’ve been trying to find him girls but have had no luck

Just started to get eggs from my hens. Probably won’t start hatching tell next spring.

If this is not already a breed I’d like to make it one. I kind of stumbled upon this by accident last year. I crossed my Brown Red Jap to a Mille Fleur and got this…

As you can see, Brown Red is dominant(ER is the second most dominant e allele after Extended Black) your MF hens are eb so the F1s are ER/eb and so will be the back cross generation(BC1) if you cross that Brown Red male back to MF. So it's a pretty straight forward matter

We’ll we are down to 4 eggs. My hen quit siting, and my newest incubator croaked and they were in there when it croaked. The eggs are now in my still air incubator. I have candles them and all but one looks good. 5 more days!
