Sorry, got busy and couldn’t take pics yesterday. One ended up dying when we had a cold snap. 4 weeks old!

Bigfoot is 8 weeks old! She/he is starting to get some leakage!

Bigfoot is 8 weeks old! She/he is starting to get some leakage!

Oh my gosh! Bigfoot is so cute! Her cheeks are so fluffy as well, which is absolutely adorable.

At 8 weeks old i’d say it’s almost a definitive yes that she’s a girl. Most bantams i’ve hatched, which all happened to be d’uccle crosses, were sexable at 4 weeks old. There was one exception: a little fibro chick with the upper 1/3 of its comb clipped off. So.. Bigfoot is more than likely a girl. A very very pretty one.

I agree, in fact, my tiniest D'uccle was my only male! Those cheeks are AMAZING!
