I never get canned veggie frozen or fresh here.
I probably didn't write my post with the proper punctuation or enough words

.
I meant,
I have fresh broccoli, but don't want broccoli with pork chops.
I have frozen peas, so they are an option.
But I also have some cans of veggies, so they are another option.
So now that I got that out of the way, I went in a whole nuther direction
I saw a video in the wee hours for pork chops, so decided to pick up the ingredients I did not have to give them a try. I'm actually surprised my local store had all the produce.
Gordon Ramsay's pork chops over succotash.
It involved using more seasoning than I usually use.
And basically braising them in the sauce. Which you had to keep adding butter to...
Then the usual steam for tenderness.
Meanwhile... making succotash... I've heard of it, but that's as close to it as I've gotten.
I've never cooked so many veggies in one dish before in my life.
But wait. There's more.
Not that it took a lot of time, but no rest for the wicked either. What's the phrase? The juice wasn't worth the squeeze.
The sauce never did come together. A little tweaking will fix that.
And it was good... but I don't need my pork chops so heavily seasoned. Nor my dinner to require that much work with keeping on top of things. I was literally chopping stuff up as I was adding it to the pan. To keep in line with the method.
Glad I made it though. I like stepping outside the wheelhouse now and then.
