I am going to let all 4 grow out

I’m getting a little frustrated with all these beak deformities and the brown red not showing threw to the hens, and most of my chicks being boys but I guess this is just part of marking a new color… lots of frustration.

Sad to say but I think all are boys. A few of them ran into their water while catching them.

Forgot to post pics of the babies, had 2 of 6 hatch. For some reason it seems I get a better hatch rate under hens. I’ll get pics this weekend, and maybe I’ll share a sneak peek on a new D’Uccles project coming soon in 2024.

The mostly black roo died when we had a cold snap. Look like one poult unfortunately. I also not like that they lost their middle toe feathering and that the boys are already showing leakage.

Cricked face and his boys are doing good! So are the 3 ladies.
