I’m still optimistic about the results. I did email the company letting them know I need to know for sure that this result was accurate bc I found out they are known for false negatives. Fingers crossed this is accurate. I don’t know why else his eye would of changed colors.

If they're known to have false negatives, is there a possibility you can have someone else test them? Or maybe even get a few labs to test them and see what the majority result is?

The plan I have right now is to find another test. If it comes back positive I’ve been doing research on how to restart and still keep my blood lines.

My plan for breeding is to breed my two pullets (F1MfxF1MF and F1FmxF2) from last year. I plan to go ahead and breed them to the F1MF roo in a different spot than all my other chickens. (I know that if he’s sick most likely all my others are sick too but it just makes me feel better) This will give me F3 (F1FMxF2 x F1MF) and F4MF (F1MFxF1MF x F1MF). After I pick my grow outs I want from the two groups I will hopefully have a rooster from one groups and hens from the other, I breed those guys together to get F5s.

F4 chicks are on their way!:jumpy F1MFxF1MFxF1MF for short
F1MFx2pink. Due to hatch Oct 8. Hopefully I’ll get the F1MFxF2 hen bred and that would be my last clutch of the year.

Man this year has been crazy. Definitely didn’t get what I wanted done this year due to many out of town visits for vacations and the Merek’s scare that we had. I still would like to get another test but as of right now no one else has a weird eye and my rooster rather than loosening weight has gained some weight sense being separated from the bro pen. Fingers crossed next year will be a better year and a more predator free year. Lost a lot of great birds.
