I picked up some silkies from a friend today who is leaving for college. one of the silkies has chocolate spots/splashes. these pictures do not do her justice she has great form, but I had DD and hubby wanting dinner.

I'm in SW Mo, are the silkies pullets? I'd take any pullets you want rid of. I don't care if they're "correct", I just love them and would like a couple more broody little bantams

two are buff pullets, one has a strait comb. they both have lots of black. there is also a black/ with lots of silver roo not bad conformation wise but funky colored. the other is a white roo with a crooked beak, not crossed but pushed to one side. she kept them in quarantine at her place for 3 weeks before I got them they are very healthy.

Chances are that the brown spots are sunburned, old feathers. After a molt she will be properly splash coloured.
