Brown Sussex genetics

Pics
A few photos of the brown Sussex chicks I hatched yesterday. Pleased with these given the air sacs were pretty much all detached after posting.

11 days old today. Starting to feather out fairly well. I think the darker are girls and the lighter are boys but that may just be coincidence. A few weeks time and it should all be a little clearer

Here’s a few photos of the latest Brussbar hatchings. Two boys and a girl. The boys are there lighter colour and the girl is the darker bird with the eye liner. She’s a little scraggly as she got a bit stuck coming out of the egg. Hatched 2 days ago

I don't know what the 2 chicks with head spots are in Pic BC771E in post 55. But these are not e+ based are they, Nicalandia?
They are wildtype e+/e+ the chick down has been modified by homozygous sex linked barring B/B, that is why they can be sexed at hatched compared to the regular wildtype female chicks

Double barring has a profound effect on the males chick down, it's no only about a head spot, but the down gets lighter, the chipmunk stripes get too blurry
