Just another random mutation similar to black shoulder. I suspect it won't ever really catch on though. Most people prefer blackshoulder birds.

Thanks for your answer. I wish the creators or UPA members would have explained the pattern on the website. So people can start working on the improvement and start breeding different colors and patterns with the new (brown wing) pattern.

@KsKingBee ?? I'm still learning colors but could this be purple instead of blue & thats why the wings are brown?

I think they are alive. Looks like a (color)mixture of blue & purple.

• I really do not know how the pattern was developed. I do know that Brad is working to make it in all colors meaning that it is not related to a sex-linked color but is a pattern all its own.

For sure ...! Black shoulder is THE mutation !
There is no one mutation who comes close to it.
Adult, both sexes are so different .BS spalding gives peahens a chance to be very beautiful birds!
