Brown/Yellow poo quite worried

I did look into it - a lot. Molly's formulation seems to have very good proven results so I'm trying that first since I can't easily get the other commercial wormers (except piperazine). I will make sure to observe a fresh poop from the hen that definitely has them so i have a comparison for post-treatment results. I am aware that the buggers are transferable, but children and pets can get them in many other ways as well. I remember I got pinworms once as a child but we did not have chickens at that time and my mom was super-strict about our hygiene (constant handwashing, no sharing cups, etc.) so if it's gonna happen, it'll happen - even if you live in a sealed bubble, I expect!
You should be able to get safeguard or panacur at the feed store for horses. I see you are in Canada, its Safeguard for horses. Thats what I had to get. If its tapeworm, that is were it gets tricky, i have not been able to get the stuff here that will treat it.

I could maybe check the tack store? But, since they don't carry feed, I doubt they'd carry medicine. The feed store/mill only has the piperazine, as previously mentioned. I could call the co-op 6 towns over, but if the feed store nearest me doesn't have it I'm dubious that they will. I wonder if it might be a canadian thing where things you guys could get we can't without a prescription :( Anyway, my order from Molly's is already on its way so hopefully that does the trick. I know cayenne doesn't work - or maybe it does but only a bit (I noticed an increase in worm segments excreted which could indicate that it at least did SOMETHING); DE internally I knew would never work (it acts on the exoskeleton, of which worms do not possess), the pumpkin seed sounded viable but I was planning on getting post-halloween sale pumpkins when they all sold out a week prior :he

Pumpkins don't work. I did that, still had worms. I am in BC. I get the safeguard at the feed store were I buy layers pellets. They wont tell you what else may work for chickens, so I go in and pick it out and buy it.

I've read that it's actually a chemical in the seed shells. Anyway, I'll give the co-op a shout, then. Where on van isle are you? I've lived in about half the towns there! And spent the critical part of my youth on east cracroft island.

My stuff from Molly's Herbals came in and IT WORKS! Normally when my wormy hen poops the worms are still alive and wriggling away... Right after their first dose, I saw worms in poops from birds that I thought were worm-free. I just came in from giving some treats and one made a fresh, wormy poop but no wriggling, no sign of life. I took a stick and prodded a couple (gets them to move if they are still alive) and NOTHING! So, they were effectively killed prior to expulsion! :celebrate

Best part is, no wasted eggs! I thought the wormwood flavour might transfer to the eggs, but so far not even that! I'll be passing this on to other related threads, for sure!
