She backed up faster, finally whipping around on her hind-legs to face in the opposite direction, and dashed off as quickly as she could. She couldn't risk losing her foal in a fight.
Scorch lashed her tail, looking pleased that the stranger was retreating.

Inferno sighed and didn't look up from tending the squeaking newborns.

Moon started to drink.
Crystal moved to drink, standing well apart from Moon and Flicka.

Flicka looked over to Chrystal then gave Moon a light nip "Go and speak to her, she's feeling left out"

Shard swished his tail and followed Cara. He stood a few feet from her, lowering his head to drink.

Moon nodded. He came over to her. " Come and join us!"
Crystal lifted her head, swallowing a mouthful of water. She wasn't used to a herd bigger than two. When she traveled with Shard, they'd devoted attention to each other. Now, the filly just felt...oddly alone.

The scent of frightened muddy mare was nearly as easy for Zachorzi to detect as his own musky sweaty stallion scent. Lifting his head, he whinnied, calling for Sapphire, Angel and possibly, that strange mare.
