BS Bronze Genetics Question

My large adult males weigh 6 kg, so they get 3 ml (50 mg/kg) orally for 5 days. I know it seems like a lot, but it is what many vets recommend. Did you know that dogs and cats get 50 mg/kg? It's only goats, cows and horses that get the amount shown on the bottle of Safeguard.

Do you repeat the whole 5 days of treatment after a 10 day waiting period?

Some vets say you should. Can you take some fresh poop to vet and have it checked?

General rule of thumb with genetics (and there is a whole other thread dedicated to this on the main peafowl page) if a color mutation bird such as Bronze is mated to an india blue you will only get birds that look like india blues even though they carry the gene for the bronze coloration. Besides the sex linked colors it takes 2 birds that either express a color/pattern or are split to a color/pattern to get what you want.

Example being

Bronze bs+bronze bs= bronze bs

Bronze bs+ IB= IB split to bronze bs

IB split to bronze+ IB split to bronze= bronze and IB split to bronze.
