Hello,
We have had a few late nights with work here. I have been letting the chicken out in the morning and locking them in at night when it’s dark out. I’ve used a flash light to check on everyone and they all looked happy and healthy.
Tonight, however I noticed one of out Roos (9 weeks old) was missing some tail feathers. Upon inspection he has an extremely poopy bum and a red bubble coming out of his rectum. He seems to be acting and eating fine.
I’m going to soak his bottom in some warm water and try to clean it up. Must be horribly uncomfortable I feel so bad we didn’t notice this sooner!
Here are some photos. Anyone know what it is and if anything can be done?
