Hi. I hatched out only 2 ducklings about a week ago and tonight after I refilled their water (the container was mostly empty today ) that when they opened their mouth or I picked them up bubbles were in their mouths. I didn't notice this before today and otherwise they look very healthy (running around, eating, drinking). Also, their crops are very full because I just fed and watered them and they ate it up fast. I hope they are okay! Please HELP!

Ducklings need water with food 24/7. So if they ran out or ran low, they may have been in a panic and drank way too much water. When they do that, they slosh.

Most of the time it resolves itself. Just keep an eye on them. I need to turn in now, but if they start acting odd, give them some electrolytes in their water. Apple cider vinegar, a teaspoon in a pint of water, more or less if you don't have poultry vitamins with electrolytes

I sure hope they'll be alright! *Please, please, please!*

And how long until I know that they'll be alright or not?

As Amiga said 24/7 on the feed and water. Ducklings can't have feed w/o water they'll choke. You may need a bigger waterer. Get some electro vitamins to add to water. Other than that monitor them if their running around eating drinking and active they should be fine.

Thank you so much! They have an average sized chick water but they play in the water and spill it everywhere

Yes, don't I know about that splashy thing!?!

The brooder became Camp Swampy overnight. And three times a day. I did not have the water management thing down right away.

The apple cider vinegar really does work well for many different problems. I put it in my turkey poults' water and in my ducklings' water along with the little packets of electrolytes. I have never lost poults or ducklings. All have done great.

The ducklings seem fine! I now fill up their water at 8 am, 6 pm, and 10 pm! They had water when I got home today :D
