Bubbles in Eye Corner?

One of my Brahma hens has a bunch of tiny bubbles in the corner of one of her eyes. This has happened before and it went away. She seems normal in the sense that she is walking around, eating, seems happy. However this hen has also stopped laying regularly, and when she does lay it is either a fairy egg or a very oddly shaped egg.

I don't know how old she is since I got her as an adult. All the other hens seem fine and I have never seen bubbly eyes on any of them, either this time or the last time this hen had this issue.

Wondering if there is something I should be doing? What do the bubbly eyes mean?

Crossing my fingers. She has had this before and none of the other hens got bubbly eyes. It went away after a few days. Hopefully it goes away again this time and no one else catches anything.

Did your hen recover? Curious as I have a hen with something similar. Thanks

It might be best to start your own thread for more replies.

Could you post a few pictures of her eye? How long has this been going on? Is she exhibiting any other symptoms, such as sneezing, rattled breathing, eye or nasal discharge, or lesions in her mouth? Is she eating/drinking?

As a basic treatment, you can flush her eye with some warm saline or eyewash, wipe off any gunk with a damp towel, then apply either an ophthalmic ointment such as Terramycin or an antibacterial ointment like Neosporin.

Yes, she recovered and none of the other hens came down with any symptoms. I did not isolate the hen with the bubbles in her eye because by the time I noticed it she had already been around the other chickens. So far everyone seems fine.
