Bubbling/foaming pip hole

Chicken made a good pip hole had been that way since 3 PM then at 10 PM I came up to see the hole was bubbling and the chicks mouth gasping like it needed to breathe humidifier read 80% only thing I could think that the chick was drowning. I chipped the egg around the chick where it would zipper and the membrane just around the mouth so all I had left a break is the membrane chick is now more vocal but seems really weak and looks covered in a thicker fluid.

Anyone ever have this and was it drowning?

That what it sounds like. What was your humidity over the first 17 days? For there to be excess fluid in the egg, the egg didn't loose enough moisture. Have you had other hatchers yet? If the fluid was breathed in by the chick, it may not make it.
