Bubbly eyes?

My friend had a necropsy done on one of her ducks at Ohio State University. We both bought meat birds from Hoover's Hatchery via Family Farm and Home and we also swapped poultry. You're describing the same symptoms.
Mine started after Hoover delivery... Could this be a problem?

The first thing one thinks of with foamy or bubbly eye is mycoplasma (MG.) That is a chronic respiratory disease. There could be other reasons for the foamy eye, but that is the most common reason. Testing can be done to rule it out. Avian pneumometa virus has been reported to be more common in turkeys and other fowl, and although it can be a cause of foamy eye, it is not common everywhere.

Edited to say, usually, there would be swelling of the face or head with avian pneumovirus. Here is a good article to read about the location of the virus and symptoms:

Thank you, I will be keeping a close eye on her.

Have you flushed the eye? She could have something in it. Any coughing? Sneezing?
Another worry would be MG but that’s worse case scenario.
Do you have pictures?
No coughing/sneezing, I checked her eye, and everything was normal.

No pics unfortunately.

Also, she seems 100% today, I think she was stressed due to the recent re-homing. I'm going to keep a close eye on her behavior, but I'm not as concerned as I originally was.

Again, thank you so much! :)
