Hey I've got a question should I breed for shape or color? I have a girl that has great shape but black specks on her feathers.

Breed for both. Dont use the girl that has the black specs because that can cause a bad defect in your birds coloration from what I understand a few of the larger breeders did that and have to do large culls now.

My Easter-hatched Buckeye and the June hatched Buckeyes are not yet laying. I would have thought they would be started by now. They have supplemental light.

Also, my Buckeye Rooster cannot fly, not an inch. He does not seem to be obese or anything like that. Is that common for Buckeyes?
