I have a 3 year old fainting goat buck and I just got a pygmy buck, not sure of age but is at least 3.

My question is, can the two of them share a pen or will they fight?

The fainting buck is penned away from "the girls", all pygmy does.

All my friends that breed their goats keep the bucks together without incident.

I don't have any bucks personally but that is my observation.

I don't have personal experience but I know three breeders who keep two or three bucks together and haven't had any negative incidences. They do all keep their buck pen quite a ways away from their doe pens.

I wonder if I should let them meet with the fence between them first.

Well, they will fight a little in the beginning to establish dominance. But that typically doesn't last long.

You are usually better off to have more than two bucks together. That way if two of them get in a scuffle the third is likely to interfere and thing don't get real serious.
