Budgie gender

I have a 9 month old Lutino budgie and I’m not sure on the gender. There cere is very dark kind of like a dark purple. Not sure if anyone can give me any ideas?

By the description seems to be male. Are you sure it's a lutino? Does it have red or black eyes? Usually lutino males have a pink cere. Pics would help.

Yes definitely Lutino lovely bright yellow, white patches on checks and red eyes. I’m not sure but the cere is very dark. I will have to get a close up picture of the cere only have far away ones of them at the moment.

This was taken in July and the cere has changed colour a lot since, looks nothing like that now I will have to take a newer one so you have a better idea at trying to find out the gender

Has he started male behavior like feeding his toys or mirror?

Not seen them do that.

DISCLAIMER: I have never seen a lutino and am long out of experience but if he is becoming hormonal, that could be another way to tell.

I suspect if his cere is getting darker, he’s probably male but see my disclaimer. I’m considering getting a couple of budgies. I’d like to have a few more in my life.
