Budgie leg problems

I recently acquired a male budgie but his leg seems to be of to one side even when hes perching
is it an injury or genetic?

Problobly genetic. Give him some millit (if you have some) or cucumbers and his favorite fruit/vegtebles and he will be alright.


(You know this IS a mostly chicken blog right even though it is ok and some people do it for other animals and this is fine but just wanting to make sure you know)

We breed budgies so have the correct food

Was it like this since you got the bird? To my eye, it looks like the bird had a splayed leg as a baby, and this is how it healed. You might want to bring it to a vet to be sure it's not an infection or recent injury to be sure, but off the top of my head, that's my opinion.

Hello! I have a budgie named Bogi who has all sand paper perches except for one so he can have a foot break. He also has a wooden ladder, no sand paper, and a swing, no sand paper. And soon he'll go into my parakeet, Mikas cage and so then he'll also have plastic, rough plastic, and smooth wood. Will his feet be fine?
