Thoughts if they are Roo or Hen? Really thinking #1 is a roo but confused about #2. #2 (Jolene) is smaller but still has the red comb.
    Thoughts?

When do they get the pointed feathers on the neck-someone else told me they are hens because they have rounded neck feathers.

Cockerels.... They won't get their male specific feathering until their about 12 weeks, but those combs being so big and red so young indicates cockerel.

  7. I have 4, 9 wk old buff brahmas I got from a straight run at tractor supply. I have thought since a day old that we had 3 pullets and a cockerel but yesterday someone said all 4 look like pullets (I would LOVE it if that is the case!). Here are 7 shot of the heavy framed, very sparsely feathered one that just seems different to me. Thoughts? I’ll post the others in another reply.

They all look like roosters to me. Pullets will not have those red combs already.
