Buff crested pullet or cockerel?

She will be seven months old on the seventh, her crest would be in a neat bob if I hadn't trimmed her feathers, and she got into a fight with a leather satchel this morning.

Even with young Polish, it is easy to tell the sex. A cockerel's crest is a mess and a pullet's crest looks like a finely coiffed pompadour.
