Buff Dewlap Toulouse Thread

Dropping in to see if there are any Dewlap Toulouse Geese people in the San Diego area. We are interested in getting some and would be interested in eggs or hatchlings. Do they need a pond or will a kid's swimming pool suffice?

I'm not in CA but a kid's pool works great

good luck

some are very slow... use when they internally pip for the start of hatching

Remember as long as they're moving there is hope Good Luck!

it is day 33 and they are moving and rolling and i have candled them, but there us still no internal pipping. Is this normal?

Sounds to me that your incubator temperature maybe a degree or 2 low or you have cold spots in it. If you do it will cause them to grow slower and then hatch later. Everyone's experience is different. I have Embdens that always take at least 32 days to hatch and my last set of dewlaps took 31 days for 2 of 4 the other 2 hatched about 36 hours later. All were set on the same day.
