It would be good to read all of the sticky topics in the goose and duck thread so you are familiar with the saved info up there. Many dont realize how much shared info is kept up there that is useful to know.

Hope you woke up to him feeling better.

Hello all.

I got up at 2:30 and changed the water. He had drank about a half gallen of the molassis water up to then. He wad dryer and not "listing to port" as bad as at rescue time. He is sitting with his feet under him mostly. Still tossing head around a bit.

Oh, and at 2:30, his eyes had white cotteny patches over them, but it went away the moment he dipped into the fresh water. Is this normal? I assume it was something to do with the mol. water.

About to go bring more fresh water, and a container with some prepared food not needing grit. (un med chicken start in this case) Its only for a few days, but no mizori right now, and all my grains are whole, except the chick starter. Thought it would be easier to eat and digest, if he's hungary at all.

Marty if you have plain oatmeal you can fix that for him as well. When you get home steamed apples, pumpkin puree (not the pie filing ready to go but just plain pumpkin) steamed pears so they are soft are good too. The pears and apple give great carbs while the cooked oatmeal is easy on the system.

The starter feed wont hurt him at all and poses no risk for any wing issues at the age they are now. Often when off feed if you moisten it they suddenly cant get enough.

Marty, very happy to hear your buff baby is improving!! Hope he does well while you are at work, and look forward to hearing the update when you get home this afternoon!
