Thanks! I've printed it off and saved it in a file on my computer, so I can access it at any time. Where we live, way out in the country, internet connections don't always work and with my luck would be down just when I really needed it. So, better in a file.

I have tried to read through as many of these threads as I can over the past few months, but there is no way I have been able to read everything. I'm trying, though!

Not the threads since most are chit chatty, read the stickies at the tops of the duck and goose area. thats where items are kept for reference long term.

I recommend everyone be well versed in basic medical care for the animals they chose to be owned by. There is no need to call a Vet for everything, not always one available either. There are some things owners can handle, including prolapsed penis, trimming of nails (muscovy especially) wound care, ingestion of toxins, deworming. We do far more than that since we are both medically trained and have experience and tools available to us.

The buff is doing a bit better, but one eye (maybe injured) keeps getting white foamy stuff all over it. I've washed several times now. At 2:30am, 6am, 7:30am, and 5 minutes ago. I do not see any visible injury, but nonetheless its an issue, covering the entire eye. And, the eye isn't all the way open, looks irritated.

I'd usually go give a drop of neosporin to a mammal, but is that still effective for avians?

As long as it doesn't have pain reliever I believe.

Hmm, I bet most of ours have that pain stuff in them. I think I'll go try a mild salt water flush, that should inhibit bacteria, if its bacterial. Should also be more neutral to the eye, but I'm gonna go google first.
