Hmm, I bet most of ours have that pain stuff in them. I think I'll go try a mild salt water flush, that should inhibit bacteria, if its bacterial. Should also be more neutral to the eye, but I'm gonna go google first.

Marty Vetericyn comes in a spray also come in a eye wash, a bit pricey but very good stuff.

Marty, I do not like the results of my google search for foamy eyes. Does not sound like an injury to me. I am afraid it may be more serious.

He scratched his face and beak and that eye pretty bad in the ucky duck pond pool. There are phsical injuries all over the area.

It doesn't look like the illness pics I saw, its also got a bit of yellow starting. I'm calling my vet though.

foamy eye tends to happen when the eye is scratched, a Vet can give you antibiotic and often eye drops to help clear it up. It would be like us getting sand in our eye, rubbing and causing a scratch. Hopefully your vet can see the goose and get you set up with the needed meds. If we were closer I could run some over to you.

See how beat up his beak is? And, an injury near the eye on this side? the other side is slighty worse by the eye. I think the sweet of the molassis was enough to encourage an eye issue, but not sufficient sugar concentration to inhibit.

I think he was moving his head so much from eye pain maybe, but its odd enough that I'm on hold for Dr. Mendoza, my bird vet (Emporia has one vet whos got an interest and some knowledge here) to see if he'll take a look at the goose today.

Lots of clear water to keep it clean. Do you have any Neomycin eye ointment? Its the generic triple antibiotic ophthalmic ointment to treat eye infections. the bill injures can be handled with it or neosporin (or generic triple antibiotic cream withOUT pain reliever)

He was! It was pretty bad last night, and still not great at 2:30am. He also drug himself around and back into the same pool before I got him corraled. I don't know what on earth he (or she) was thinking. In the pond he just kept throwing his head back and forth. Celtic said that was part of the poisoning thing, the muscle crap. Poor thing is not doing the head wobble anymore, but I'm pretty sure the eye needs meds. He can definately see me, when I rinse the stuff off. Dr. Mendoza is going to see us at 4pm. I'm actually thinking this one is a girl from size. The other 3 are two bigs and a little, which makes it a her, and the other little of the 4. Im not risking my goosie baby, and that's that.
