I ordered some Buff goslings from Metzer as an experiment when I ordered a larger number of Pilgrim goslings. I ordered 2 male and 2 female Buff goslings. One of the females was dead in the box on arrival. Later after I took the leg bands off, another gosling died. It MAY have been a Buff and it MAY have been the other female.
I'm wondering what to do about it. I can't afford to order another whole batch of Buffs, really. Should I try getting some Buff hatching eggs, if they are available? Or wait and start over next year? (Unless I lucked out and I still have a male and female Buff.)
