Buff Marans

[Buff Maran]

We have a breed that we were told are Buff/Marans. They lay a speckled egg. I am looking for information on the breed and am having trouble finding information. Any guidance would be great.

Are they black tailed buffs? Do they look like this? If so they are a variety of Marans, but they are pretty rare. You can try asking on the Marans thread. I am sure you will get more responses.

Hey, thanks Poularde for posting the French link! I had lost it somewhere in my favs, and could not find it.

Instead of Buff Marans (which according to the link don't exist), or Black Tailed Buffs, could it be you have Wheatens?? Can you post any pics?
