Buff minorca sitting on eggs?

I have a buff minorca who has gone Broody twice. I was told that these chickens don't go broody and she is under a year old but she has successfully sitting on two viable eggs about 4 days gestation. Anybody had luck with a buff Minorca??

Hi there,
There's no really 'this breed does or doesn't" in chickens, only likelihoods.
As you see, minorcas do go broody and will likely hatch her self a nice brood.
The word you're looking for is incubation, not gestation.

most hens are, but have a back up plan just in case.

I have leghorns who have never been broody ever..... last season I gave eggs to my uncle to hatch.... this season he has had one of the leghorn hens go broody twice... second time he left her eggs and she has hatched them out and been an awesome mother.....

My first broody was a never broody breed. She was a fantastic mom, willing to take your arm off at the elbow!
