I have one buff orp who is 2 1/2 years old. I look at my six ladies every day and noticed yesterday that she has pink stripes down her legs and pink between her toes. Is it possible that I just never noticed that before and I am looking for a problem? She is the only one molting and it is a heavy molt. She is also at the bottom of the pecking order. They are well fed and cared for. I have been lucky that I haven't had any health problems with them. Anyone else have this or am I just goofy ( a real possibility)?

ETA: would mites do that? Not recently but several times a year I wipe the roost with a kerosene rag.

Thank you! I can't believe I never noticed. Blondie is my only light hen. I deliberately didn't hold them as chicks. I didn't want to get so attached if something happened to them (which I am!), so they do not like to be held. We've heard chicken sounds like you've never heard when one is picked up! One RIR is fairly tame. Thanks again.
