Hi there. Not new to chickens, but new to breeding and hatching eggs. What color chicks would i get from breeding a buff orphington hen with a light sussex rooster or a coronation sussex rooster? or a isa brown hen with a light sussex or coronation sussex rooster? I also have a lavendar orphington hen. what would she produce with either rooster. Thanks for the help. Ive been looking for a breeding chart to help me figure out what i would get and no luck. I thought I would ask all you expert chicken lovers.
Thank you
God Bless

Light Sussex Roo with Buff Orp hen - They should all look pretty much like a Light Sussex. Buff can do some strange things so you might get some interesting leakage.

Coronation Sussex roo with Buff Orp hen - The way I understand Coronation Sussex, they are a Light Sussex but have one Blue/Black/Splash gene so what would be black is blue. In that case half the hicks will look like Light Sussex and half will look Coronation.

Coronation or Light Sussex roo over ISA Brown hen - I'm mot that familiar with the ISA Brown genetics but I'd expect the chicks to be colored pretty much the same as with an Orp hen. Leakage would be likely and probably different than with the buff.

Light Sussex roo over Lavender Orp hen - The lavender is a recessive so it will not show up. The Lavender base color is black so likely solid black chicks.

Coronation Sussex roo over Lavender Orp hen - half solid black chicks and half solid blue chicks.

Leakage means you can get some different colored feathers show up randomly. That might be a few widely scattered feathers or they might be in a splotch. These are different breeds than yours but the white ones should be solid white.

Then here is one that should be solid black. This might give you an idea of what to expect with leakage.

I just hatched this combo. Only kept one (that had the smaller comb) but I'm so curious to see how it turns out. Thanks for sharing the photos! @Chicmama5, do you have photos of how the offspring turned out full grown?
