What's the temperature where you are???

56. I can't feel my toes. We don't have enough warm blankets. This may be the end.

...Nah, I LOVE this weather. Chillin in shorts and soaking in the cool while we have it. :p

Had me going there! My Hen House was 56F when I opened it this morning. Perfect for the chooks overnight. I could handle that for a daytime high but my fate is with the -56 hahahaha.

It's ok, I'm a snow collector, there's always room for more!

The snow here is like that one annoying visitor who doesn't take hints to leave. It just moves in and doesn't leave until late-May, sometimes June.

I call it the prize to pay for living in the wilderness... Because no one else wants to live here :lau

Nope nope nope - detest winter, it's currently 0C (32F) and overcast, so not horrible but I wouldn't want it any colder that's for sure.

3C, "feels like" -8 (37 / 18F). Wind mid-to-high-20s with gusts up to mid-30s (mph). Grey.

I expect you're actually prepared for it there though! We had a LOT here last week, by local standards (probably about a foot of snowfall locally but drifts well over a metre in places), but even when there's only a tiny bit of snow everything just comes to a standstill

Grey.... hahahaha that is a great discription. That would be a lot of snow for you, does the ocean freeze over near you or do you get icebergs like we do in Newfoundland?

Where I am living between the Great Lakes, we have a rather maritime climate usually. The lakes can moderate how cold it is when they are open, but once they freeze over, it may as well be h#ll freezing over, the temps get down around -30C's over night and may not get above -20C during the daytime. But.... it's usually sunny then, -20 and sunny with no wind, perfect for skiers.

70's today here in Chauvin, LA. Warm for January. Hope summer isn't here already. Global warming sucks sometimes.

What's the norm for where you are? do you sometimes get snow? Would you like some of mine (and Kattabelly can send you some to likely haha).

It was so nice today, wasn't it? I love working outside when it's just a little bit chilly. It makes me move quickly to stay warm and I get a lot done.

It's 34° (1 C) at midnight. It'll be 53° (12 C) and sunny today. Chicken delights will be warm oatmeal with salmon.

Still lots of snow on the mountains.

There's a ski resort called Ski Valley about an hour from Tucson. They don't have enough snow for skiing this weekend but you can still play in the snow - if you can get up there.

The one road that goes up the mountain requires 4WD and chains right now. Seven vehicles have gone off the road. They keep closing it.

The ski resort also has a nice restaurant but their outdoor seating is not available. 😄

Down here, thanks to the rain, the chickens had little green grass shoots to munch on today! A rarity!

I am so glad your weather has finally moderated for you. Have you noticed that the seasons seem to be off by about 4 to 5 weeks? Winter starting later, summer later, and so on.

That's a goodly amount of snowfall up there, is it cold enough to make snow on the mountain? or I guess not enough water source for that... And need temps around -7C to make snow (I worked a ski resort here as their HR & H&S manager),
Yeah, snow up here is a guarantee all winter, something you just have to tolerate and deal with. The first winter we lived here (I'm originally from a bit further south), we expressed our astonishment about the 1.8 meters of snow to the locals, and they laughed at us "newcomers" lol

I only laugh at other people's struggles with snow and cold as a joke (and self-preservation ;)). South of Scandinavia isn't nearly as snowy, and there's a constant "northerners laughing at the southerner's"-taunting when they have "snow-chaos". But I totally get it, especially with traffic and in bigger cities.

Every place has its weatherly peculiarities, and people are equipped and adapted for what they got. Wait 'till summer, I'm gonna complain SO MUCH about the heat! :lau

We do the same thing here, I live in a 'snow belt' so we regularly get lake effect snow that can build to impressive amounts.

When people from Toronto move up here they haven't got a clue as to how to drive in the snow, or what the wear, or how to clear their roof of their houses, and shovelling their driveways. I like to laugh because I know the troubles I have here, getting my driveway cleared, getting to town, keeping my roof cleared..... then add in the livestock.

FYI - I NEVER complain about the heat and humidity (it can be like Florida here in the summer - that 'maritime' lake moisture is wonderful!

27C (81F) and sunny at 6.25PM - was pleasant early but just got muggier as the day progressed.
The next week is going to be a bit cooler mostly but with at least one stinker.

Oh how I long for the evenings being hot and sultry, the sound of crickets and other night time creatures, and the fire flies flashing their lights to perspective mates.

Only 133 days until out May two-four long weekend and the start of more enjoyable weather (usually).

South Central Ontario, Canada

Currently 0C (32F) and overcast, calling for a 40% chance of snow this afternoon, overnight up to 5cm. Not much but still it can hide those ice spot in the driveway.

It is just the opposite for most of us Texas folks (or at least speaking for myself). I so look forward to the first day below 90F (usually well into Autumn). -can't wait until the first crisp, freeze that knocks out the wretched mosquitoes! -absolutely dread the end of May, because Hades is around the corner - temps in the upper 90s/100s. I always pine for mid-October. :)

53 and windy.
60F / 16C at 1:30 P.M. with 20 mph / 32 kph winds here. I'm going out to hunt for downed palm fronds. I have to head to TSC for some bird netting and there's a park near there with a lot of palm trees so I'll start there. We use palm fronds as coop clutter, the chickens love them. Maybe the fronds remind them of their jungle ancestors.
