Buff Orpington chicks with black spots

Hey all, just wondered if any of your buff orpington chicks have come out with dark colored spots on their yellow heads

None of the BO chicks I've ever had, had black spots.

It sounds like you have some mixed BO chicks washxc.

Pics would be helpful, though.

none of ours do, but they're right at 4 weeks, so i suppose they still have some time.

As an aside, we bought the eggs for $15/dozen from a fairly well known guy that claimed they were show quality buff orpingtons

Buff Orpingtons do not have any markings on them.

Here's a few pics of some buffs that I've hatched from hinkjc.

The buffs are the light colored ones in this group shot. Notice, no spots.

Should be no spots, even on hatchery BO chicks. Those are mixed. They might be some nice looking chickens though, as they are adorable chicks!
