Buff orpington combs.

All my buff orps. are the same age but some of their combs are bigger. Why is this?

How old are they? When they are young, males will typically grow combs at twice the rate of females. As females get closer to laying age, their combs will get a bit bigger/redder too, but never reach the size of a male comb of the same age.
