Buff Orpington Emergency update

Hey everyone, I decided to take my (what I thought) egg bound hen to the vet this morning. Turns out the what I thought was an egg is actually a large tumor. I'm still going over my options (her options). Is there much of a chance if we decide to have surgery or treat it in some way? or is there no hope?

So sorry... I think that is a question only the vet can answer. It's going to depend on the placement of the tumor, attachment to other organs, whether it has spread, health of the hen etc. Wishing her well...

Well, she started suffering this afternoon and almost crying. We took her back in and she wa spit down. Hated to loose this one but it is what it is.

So sorry for your loss. Cancer in the oviducts is very common in hens. Here is the OP’s other thread about the same chicken:
