I'd be inclined to think it was a male if it was mine. I'd start lining up a potential home for it now, just in case.

Years ago I raised Buff Orpingtons, definitely a male. Here are some in the chick coop that are probably closer to 6/8 weeks old. The chick next to the middle feeder was a male.
