Buff Orpington Gender?

Interesting... I have 2 buff orpingtons right now that are about 3 weeks old. One has more feathers, stands more upright, and has tail feathers. The other is slightly smaller, less feathers, and zero tail. Maybe my smaller one is a bit younger though? Interesting to see what gender they will be.

Post a pic and we can take a shot at it 👍

Also you can check their wings … at this age males have straight wing and female has a dip …. That’s accurate in my opinion but I can really tell just by their combs at 10 weeks. The females tail when she was 1 week old, was already sticking up and the males tail didn’t grow at all
There are certain breeds that can be wing sexed, and it usually within the first week and is not the most accurate. You shouldn't be able to tell a difference here between male and female.

Here are my 2 buff orpingtons. #1 is larger, more upright, and has tail feathers. #2 is smaller with no tail feathers. I also have pics of 2 cream legbars and a starlight green egger if you want to take a crack at those!

My guess would be 1 is female and 2 is male. :)

One of my males (10 weeks) didn’t have a tail at all , he was so cute. Little butterball 😂
