If I had to choose a solir buff bird to keep it would not be orpingtons. It would be bantam cochins. Or possibly Ameraucanas.

That's one of my issues with them. They're just very boring, especially when they lack fluff.
They're also extremely popular, and look like your basic chicken lol. There's nothing unique about their looks or breed traits.

Exactly! I raise bantams and if they had a Bantam buff or variety, it would not be my first choice. Id much rather have a Bantam EE or a Bantam Wyandotte.

Now, my friends has lavender orps, and the ones with good feathers are pretty. She also has Chocolate Silver Laced Orps and those are beautiful!
