It's not Orpingtons that we hate, English orps are my second favorite breed.Who in their right mind would hate orpingtons?
Huh… but I like my buff orphington crazy. It's not Orpingtons that we hate, English orps are my second favorite breed.
It's the color buff in particular that looks especially bad on American hatchery Orpingtons.
For example.. buff hatchery orp

And an English Orpington, what the breed is supposed to look like

But even more so than the looks of buff Orpingtons themselves, most buff orp haters (like myself) dislike how overrated they are. They're a very average chicken when they don't have the beauty of an English Orpington. And people treat the color "buff" as though only buff Orpingtons have desirable traits (though the color makes no difference).
Who is pampers?We know, Pampers![]()
Mmm they are gorgeous and I love those turkeys even more
I mean, buff American Orps have reached the highest level of perfection after being bred for over 150 years and for being the most popular. Buff Orpingtons are also the breed where the buff coloring was the most perfected. Buff Cochins were first but never received the same attention. It's not Orpingtons that we hate, English orps are my second favorite breed.
